About the Platform
The Dance Researchers’ Community – Sri Lanka is pleased to announce its official launch, marking a significant step toward strengthening and expanding the landscape of dance scholarship and research practice in the country. Emerging from an initiative originally centred on doctoral research, this platform now evolves into an inclusive, interdisciplinary community dedicated to supporting and advancing dance research at all levels.
Purpose and Scope
The Community aims to foster a collaborative environment for individuals engaged in dance-related inquiry, including:
- Academic researchers and scholars
- Industry-based researchers
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Professional dance practitioners
- Cultural enthusiasts and advocates of dance heritage In addition, the platform is open to international collaboration, encouraging global partnerships, cross-cultural knowledge exchange, and shared research initiatives.
